10:45 am-12:15 pm  - Workshops   (Building a Black Anti-War Movement; Reparations as a Political Response to Slavery & Racism; Messaging for our Issues/Campaigns; Building Effective Coalitions and Alliances)

12:30-1:30 pm     Lunch

12:30 pm – Press Conference in support of Attorney Chokwe Lumumba and Sister Assata Shakur

1:45 -2:45 pm – Plenary:  “Building an Intergenerational Movement”

3:00-4:30 pm -  Workshops (Homophobia in the Black Community; Radicalizing Hip Hop; Fighting the Prison Industrial Complex; Issues facing Black Workers)

4:00-7:00pm. – Juneteenth Festival sponsored by Project South (off site)

7:30-9:00 pm – Evening Program (Iraqi Tour featuring leaders from the Federation of Workers Councils and Unions)

Sunday

9:30 am-Noon – Closing Plenary: “Bringing Peace and Justice Together to Confront the Empire; Election of BRC Coordinating Committee; Adoption of National Campaign

Campus Housing Registration 
Housing is available at the Georgia State Village located at North Avenue and Olympic Park Drive, a short distance from the main campus. These units are available on a first come first served basis.  Apartments consist of four separate rooms (lockable) with two shared bathrooms.  There is a common dining, living room and kitchen area.  Cooking utensils (pots, pans, glasses, cups, silverware, etc.) and other amenities are NOT provided.  A pillow, sheets, pillow-case, blanket and two towels (which must be returned upon check-out) are provided.  There are coin operated laundry facilities but no laundry service.  All rooms and apartments for summer participants are Non-Smoking. The cost is $38 per person per night per bed. Participants can wash their linen in laundry facilities located on the premises. A separate housing form must be completed for reservations at the GSU Village. Shuttles will be available during specified times to the conference site for those housed at the Vil!
 lage. (Note: housing is available until Monday, June 20 for those whose travel plans are on that day.)

Downtown Hotels 
GSU is located in downtown Atlanta so there are several hotels near the main campus such as the Marriott Courtyard, Atlanta Hilton, Quality Inn, Westin Peachtree Plaza, etc. Check websites such as Hotel.com or Expedia.com for the best deals in the vicinity.  These accommodations are the responsibility of Congress 2005 participants.          

           
June 5 is the deadline for snail mail registrations for the conference and housing. After that date, there will only be onsite and online registration.  Make checks and money orders payable to the Black Radical Congress.
